BMW Connected app Canada?
I'm a little confused about which remote app do we use in Canada.
The iOS app store here lists the following: My BMW Remote US v5.1.1 updated a year ago, but they pushed out an update to it with the message "search and download BMW Connected North America" The also list: BMW Connected Classic v2.5.2 with the same message to download BMW Connected North America. I can't find BMW Connected North America anywhere |

That's because BMW hasn't made it available in Canada. You will need to create a US itunes account to download it. It only supports 2014 or newer vehicles with connecteddrive subscriptions. Since I have a 2013 X3 I have not been able to test if a Canadian car can be added. Although you can access some features without adding a vehicle while connected to USB (i.e. navigate to an address, see fuel level)

Before creating an account try to purchase a free app from the US store. After this step you will see a option for None in payment method.

BMW Connected app v7.0.1 from the US App Store. Doesn't do me much good yet as I don't have the X3 yet |

https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...=us.bmw.remote Not sure if this is helpful. But my understanding is that the dealer has to register your VIN and then you can create an account https://www.bmw.ca/en/ssl/MY-BMW-Own...Rlci5yZXNldH0= |

My dealer told me I had to call them to register/activate the connected app as well.

I actually wrote a review on the Canadian and US stores, both for BMW Remote and also MINI Connected, essentially, saying, "Stop reading Canada like a second class market - Please make the new apps available in Canada."
On my MINI Cooper 5-Door, I've been using the new version of the app with no issues. I think BMW Canada need to hear from more folks asking for the apps. |

I have been using both BMW Connected and BMW Remote since I got my 2012 M3. I really like the Web Radio app in Connected. I really enjoy being able to listen to radio from other countries and places that I have lived.
Recently the app store has shown an update that says "search for and download "BMW Connected North America" As others have said, that app does not appear to be on the Canadian App store. I sent an email to the contact address in the app but their mailbox is full. I am not going to fiddle around with the US app store. I will wait until it is fixed in 3 or 4 years |

i liked that too, but it's gone bye bye for a while now here and now I guess you're expected to just use Tune-In radio app directly? So I wouldn't try installing any new app unless you don't care about losing Web Radio. (Unless it's hiding somewhere I don't see.)

I read on another forum that Canadian car support for the BMW Connected app is expected in Q3 2018.

I just saw the app update from the US store with the update:
BMW Connected is now available in Canada WOOHOO! Still can't hook it up to my X3, but it's now saying there's a connectivity issue instead of saying to call BMW Canada. |
