Unhappy Display Key water damage

Hi
My display key got in to water (yeah left it in the pants) and not working now. Do I need a new key or anything that I can do to repair it?
Thanks

I would put it in a rice bowl for few days and see if it can suck out all the moisture. It's likely you'll need a new key but worth a try.

Almost the same happened to me but I fell in the pool full of corrosive chlorine and the key stopped working within 30 seconds. ((

opened the case, removed the battery and tried the air dryer quickly, tried the rice bowl for multiple days with no results and 1 week later, completely desperate, decided to dismantle it to clean all available contacts using cotton swab and 99% alcohol.

The cleaning with alcohol worked immediately but not completely at first, it took a few extra days and now the key is alive and working very well...

Nice save! That's almost a thousand bucks you don't need to spend on a new one.
