I was just curious if anyone was able to get one of the supposed 50 first edition models coming to America. I was actually looking for a spot, but my dealer didn't really even know what I was talking about and I was likely very late to the game anyway.

Anyone knows when theirs will come in?

Wow. If my job was to sit around a showroom, waiting for someone to walk in so I could sell them a car, I'd be making damn sure that I knew at least as much about the cars that I sell as the potential buyers.

I was able to get one brother.
I am in Canada and only 26 coming here.
Mine is being delivered March 21, 2018.

I was able to get mine as well. Will be arriving March in the states. Supposedly going into production Jan 18th

That's exciting for you guys! Was the frozen red standard? Did they even have any details on pricing, or you just put a deposit and figure it out later?

I would imagine the first edition models would hold their values moreso than the run of the mill M5.

The first edition model will be $150 K in Canadian dollars. It will come fully loaded, with ceramic breaks, rear seat entertainment, etc...
I am hoping as well that it keeps its value so when the M8 or M8 GC with competition package comes out I can sell the M5 and upgrade.

Can you post the list of equipment for First Edition? The order list I saw for USA military sales don't include those options? Thanks.

There was no list, from what I was told you don't have the option to choose what you get with the limited edition. It comes fully loaded.
The guys at bmw Canada put the package together and you have the choice to buy it or not.
