I just sold my 2009 335i that I owned for 8 years. I'm patiently awaiting the x3 m40i. I noticed that next year, they will have a new X4 model. that means the current X4 m40i might be heavily discounted.

Some of the concerns i have regarding the x3 m40i are that the car is in the 1st year generation, but the b58 engine is in the 4th year (so that is good). The X4 M40i is going to be in the 3rd year which makes it more appealing. Finally, i'm not sure I like the look of the 2019 X4 m40i front end. I do like the rear end.

Engines aside, it may come to interior quality for am also not diggin the new X4. I doubt if the X4 M40i is currently heavily discounted yet, I would risk the X3 now. However the X4 is tried and tested and a blast to drive. Tough choice!
