Rate my deal: 2018 530e X-Drive iPerformance

Please let me know your thoughts on this deal:

2018 530e X-Drive iPerformance
36 month lease
MSRP: $58,740
Sale Price: $56,185 plus another $5,000 of rebates
Sale price with rebates: $51,185 (I have to pay taxes on the $5K worth of rebates)
Residual 59%
MF .00152
Taxes, acquisition and dealer fees paid up front ($3,900 roughly)
Monthly: $589/month

The dealer is letting me pull ahead 5 months of remaining payments on my 2015 535 lease.

That looks about right entering the numbers on leasehackr. The 13% discount below sticker with rebates is good. It is hard to tell completely without a breakdown of the $3,900. It looks like $1,000 "down payment" and $2,900 in tax, acquisition, and doc fees. Leasehackr says $560/month.

How did you get to a $5,000 rebate? BMW lists $2,500 on the 530e and maybe $1,500 for USAA memebrs.

I’ve actually renegotiated the deal to roll taxes and acquisition fee in now with a better purchase price. The $5,000 rebate includes $3,000 from Bmw and $2,000 loyalty rebate. On top of that I got $1,000 fleet credit off the price of the car.

Do you also get the Federal Tax credits on top of the 5,000 in rebates?

This would be a killer deal with another 4,668 in tax credits. I'm hoping so. I'd go order this car ASAP then lol.

The dealer received the rebate since they own the car. Those savings are then passed down to you

Thanks. But are the tax savings on top of whatever discounts you already get plus the rebates? For example...

MSRP 55k
Negotiated price - 50k
Rebates - 5k
Tax Credit - 3k

Price after all said and done - 42k

No the "rebate" is essentially the tax credit that the dealer received and are passing on to you in the form of a rebate (but you pay taxes on the initial cost). In your example it would be:

MSRP 55k
Negotiated price - 50k
Pretax loyalty incentive/rebate - $2k
Taxable price - $48K

State rebate - $3k
Price - $45k (but you paid tax on $48k)
