Sterling, Crevier or Irvine for service?
New M2 will need break-in service in a couple of weeks ...
I used to have a long-term relationship with service at Crevier - but they've since been bought by Penske and a lot of the long-term Crevier folks are gone. So now I feel like I'm starting with a blank slate on determining best place for service. So - do any of you have good (or bad) relationships/experiences at one of the 3 OC dealers that you'd care to share? Did a search - saw great things said about Charlie at McKenna (?) - but I'm not interested in driving any further than to one of the 3 OC dealerships. Thanks! BTW - this car is rivaling my Z4M Coupe as the most fun-to-drive BMW I've owned (and I've owned about a dozen) - really loving it! |

Any specific reasons you wouldn't get it serviced at Crevier? I'm picking up my car from them within the next couple of weeks so would love to hear your first hand experiences. On the other two vehicles I've bought from them I've never had any issues with the service dept. but then again this is my first M car. Good question though as I'm curious of others' experiences since technically Irvine BMW is closer to me.

That said - Crevier is the farthest, and least-fun drive from home - so I thought I'd ask to see if there were any super-positive experiences at Sterling or Irvine that might make me confident to change service dealers and avoid the less-than-fun drive to Crevier. |

Bought and had Service at Crevier
I bought my car at Crevier and got my 1200 miles service here in May. Richard Kim is a great advisor. He knows the M mechanic specialist to take care of all M performance cars only. I was there last week bc my right paddle shifting made some noise and it didn’t reflex back smoothly after pressed in and my honk got defective as well. All fixed by replacing the new paddle and new honk.

I've serviced my cars exclusively at Crevier for the past several years. They did the break-in on my M2. I lost my valve caps and they washed it when I specifically asked them not to (printed on order slip, sign placed on dash). Not a huge deal. Most service writers are decent there, but it's actually a bit of a drive from where I live. I had bad experience with Irvine many moons ago, but figured it's worth a shot to try them again.
Before Crevier, I used to service at Sterling when I worked in Newport Beach. I really liked them, but the dealer is tiny and it takes a lot of time to drop off and pick-up.

I'm also wondering the same... I am in Westchester and am about halfway to break-in. I'm willing to drive to the dealer, but was wondering how long the service actually takes. If anyone has insights, please let me know!

I waited for mine. Took about 1.5 hours on a Saturday...including the wash
