Garage List
2018 BMW M2  [0.00]
MSRP, first option.

MSRP + Markup (lol good luck finding a dealership that doesn't do markup, I'm sure most dealerships that do msrp already have their first years batch already spoken for) the last two.

Need another listing? or two?

4. I don't have a clue?
5. with or without dealer markup?
6. There are many better cars in the price range of 3.

If they price it over a 911 or M4, they why? If you want that optimal weekend track car, then buy a used M2 and modify it!

I edited the poll question "How much will the CS cost?" to "How much will the CS cost? (base price without options)".

On the basis of the recently leaked USA-spec VINs it looks that the options list will be long.

I would have checked 60K USD to 70K USD. This is based on comparing standard M3/M4 to the proposed M2 CS.

Let's wait and watch.

Had to put a stake in the ground somewhere and after seeing/reading some of the latest information I am doubtful it will come in anywhere under $65K, and over $110K is very close to the M4CS. Please choose option 1 since you mention $70K.

Hope not. £10k too much.

£52-£54k would be better but I suspect you may be more accurate.

M2 Performance Edition was about US$60K, was it not? Add a S55 to that, and a few other goodies and (even without a manufacturer's premium like the M4 GTS) it comes in at $70K absolute minimum. A few model year hikes in between too. I expect more around $75K.

This. I don't think people realize that there was a Performance Edition that was $6500 plus $2500 for the mandatory M driver school, so $62k. Also, realize that it consisted of mainly bolt on parts.

If the CS comes with the S55 well you can expect a hefty price increase. My guess would be low $70k's USD.

I personally do not think BMW will position the M2 CS below the vanilla M3/4. The vanilla M2 already matches if not exceeds in some ways the performance of the vanilla M4. The M2 CS will trounce a regular M4 and the price will reflect it.

I remember you stating that this car would be over 80K USD before. It looks like you've gone down to 75K USD now.

A little longer and you will change your estimate to 60K USD to 70K USD.

Its a pretty useless poll IMO. The poll should start at $70k reasons stated below. Also, the brackets are way too big. There should be more choices and a max $10k spread for each choice, I would even prefer $5k. Also, the last option shouldn't be capped if you think its going to be that high anyways. No surprise that poll results look the way they do because of how the poll is setup. Its a CS, not a CSL or a GTS. The changes will be significant but not crazy.

If anyone thinks that the CS will have an MSRP only $3k more than the MSRP of the '17 Performance Edition M2 ($62k) let me have some of what you are smoking. The base price of the M2 went up $1800 from just the LCI update.

Just for shits and giggles the theoretical MSRP for a 2018 M2 LCI Performance Edition if BMW made one would be this:

53,500 base
6500 Performance Pack
2500 Drivers Pack
995 Destination
= $63,495

So $1500 more gets you into a CS? I would think not. Lets use a little common sense people.

I don't think you can compare the price of the performance package to the price of the M2 CS.Most of the cost of the performance package are M performance parts, which are way overpriced IMO.I won't be surprised if the M2 CS base price is $65K.

I do not see why I can't. That is how BMW positions and prices its M vehicles so it makes the most logical sense to do just that. Regardless of the price of the parts in the package, the PE is not the CS. The CS is suppose to be positioned higher than the PE, and therefore priced above the PE.

So you are saying the CS, the most hardcore version of the M2, will be priced the same as the less track focused PE. Got it...

Just for reference the M4 hierarchy goes like this:

Base $68k
Competition Package ~$73k
CS >$100k (rumored by the press)
GTS $133k

I reckon it's gonna be at least 10K over the M2 regular. Plus markup likely.

You remember that?!?

I recall saying that too. Maybe then I was thinking it would be more special... a la upgraded interior as well as all the performance stuff. These days, I have become convinced it is just going to be designed as a track beast... so no fancy stuff... S55, performance part upgrades, coilover suspension, some flash bodywork to differentiate it, high end wheels and be done.

Of course, if BMW decides to add a manufacturer's premium (to get ahead of the dealers taking all the free dough) then we are back up above my old $80K guess.
