iDrive Map Updates

Posting in a separate thread since it looks like the other two are more about updating vehicles that no longer have active navigation subscriptions.

My iDrive just prompted me to install updated maps tonight (after midnight CDT). The attached pictures are what I'm seeing after updates. Most notable is the version for my current region. Is anyone else seeing an update push?

Latest available is 2017-2.

You will have base North American plus regional OTA updates.

No one knows what the criteria is to receive an OTA map update but it's usually done in waves. My guess is that it's to ensure that there's no congestion on their network.

And yes, you would only get the regional map update for the region selected on the ConnectedDrive portal. The full map update can only be done via USB.
