How do I get video to play from my iPhone?
So I coded the car to decode all the video formats available and also the USB and iPod option. I can get videos on a USB to play but not my iPhone (connected using USB).
I also see an option in the menus that says "Video" but it's grayed out even if my iPhone contains videos. I've also put videos in the TV app and on my photo album. Still grayed out. Any ideas? |

I think this only works with older NBT (maybe even only CIC) with a snap in VIDEO adapter, the last was made for iphone 4s. Because the new iphones with lightning connecter are missing the analog out used for playing videos.
I think your best option is one of the apple TV solutions offered by aftermarket vendors |

I was not aware that you could stream Netflix over cable. |

What I'm starting to realize/read is that the new iPhones (iPhoneX) and possibly even my Galaxy S8 Plus, doesn't allow for an HDMI output any longer? I'm gonna read up on this... |

Yes and I'm starting to look for other options other than bimmertech because they won't sell just the mmi without the smartview or backup camera.
