Knock sensor common failure on F30 328d?
Just had a CEL come on for about a week and went away afterwards. Car still felt like normal when driving on the streets and highway though.
Dealership said the error code said it was a faulty knock sensor. Is this a common issue on this engine of ours? Is there a DIY on replacing it for future reference? Edit: looked at the paperwork and it's the Nox sensor Last edited by NinTenTom; 07-07-2017 at 06:03 PM.. |

Whats the update on this? Any recalls by chance? My CEL has been on and when I check it at autozone its for the NOX sensor(s) too. Im not sure if its one or both, or if its something that triggered it.

I guess my last post wasn't clear enough. No more CEL light since they replaced the sensor. |

It's a common fault with the part, mine went out on the test drive before I even bought the car, but I don't think they've turned it into a recall just yet.

DANG! Well one can only hope . I still have some parts and retrofits to do; everything in my living room. So after all that and cleared out ill start on the NOx sensors. Seems its gone this long with no issues i dont see it waiting another month or so
