Apple CarPlay text notification w/sound

Hi. Just picked up my 2017 340i and loving the tech. When I get a text message it pops up a visual alert saying I have a message, but there is no sound alert to go with it so if I'm not looking at the idrive screen I miss it. Is there a setting that I'm missing to get an audio alert as well when a text is received?

Mine is just visual as well. I don't believe there's an audible option.

I can't say I have much problem missing a message with the visual cue, and the ability to see it on the messaging badge on the home screen. I actually like that's it's silent

This is sadly something that BMW have opted to do. I don't know of any workaround currently.
