Can I set car to automatically read new texts with iphone?
Hi. I had a windows phone (Nokia) and when a new text came in, the car would automatically start reading it to me, and then let dictate a response to the text, and that was very nice. I got a new iPhone SE, and I can't see to figure out how to make that happen. I set it up so I can see new texts in Office, but its not nearly as convenient. Can the iPhone do what my Nokia did?

The car will read text message, but I have never seen it happen automatically.
You may be able to ask Siri. Carplay can and many want to disable feature for privacy. |

Thanks. I see its easy to have Siri read and reply to texts. And when I get a new text, and little email icon appears on the screen, but its not very obvious. And audible notification that a text came in would sure be nice.

Yea, but I generally keep it on vibrate. I don't want to have to change it every time I get in/out of the car. The function I had with my old phone is probably just a microsoft feature, and IOS does not have it.
