LDW: Steering wheel vibration problem

So yesterday I noticed that my Land Departure Warning system is malfunctioning. Normally the steering wheel has a good vibration but now the wheel does not vibrate and I hear a rumble coming from behind the steering wheel.

So it turns on when needed, but the vibration piece appears to be broken. Anyone experience this before? I scheduled a service visit but I think they are not going to give me a loaner because the dealership is a bunch of CUNTS. (Fields BMW in Winter Park btw)

surprised no comments from anyone here...

update from me: car has been in service for 3 days now. They haven't pin-pointed the problem. They thought it was the motor that drives the vibrating but it doesn't seem to have solved the issue I guess. Dunno...

I had the LDW motor go out once on my 328Xi. They kept the car for about 2.5 days, ended up replacing the module in the steering wheel as well as the motor. Check the rear of your steering wheel for the "tear" to release the airbag.

it still vibrates but feels like its vibrating inside the steering column not on the wheel. so strange. i got the car back and they said it was fixed, but it wasn't any different. had to drop it off AGAIN
