Window trim / gasket splotchy from brushless car wash soap

I'm pretty sure this happened after going through a brushless car wash because of the foamy soap that sputtered onto my car. Has anyone else ever seen this and know what to do? When it happened I thought it would go away but it never did. I also tried Armor All and that didn't help.

Thanks!

water is a universal solvent. did you try just washing it off with with a soft towel? if that doesn't work, try washing the car again by hand? i can't imagine that foam from a touch-less car wash would leave faded trim pieces.

When that soap hit the trim, it seems to have pulled away the moisture from the rubber in those sections. I would try Mothers Back-to-Black on the trim. When I had that happen on a previous vehicle, that took care of it.

That doesn't look like the rubber trim, I believe he's talking about the brushed chrome trim?

It's definitely a soft polymer trim, like rubber and not chrome. I've washed it many times since then. I'll try the Mothers Back-to-Black! Thanks for the tip!

Mothers will work. I use it on wife.com's X3 since it has the black lower trim and trim around the wheel wells. You'd think BMW would take notice of the Honda/Jeep SUVs with the black cladding and realize they FADE in no time.....
