24mpg combined, about 60/40 mix of city/highway, my long time average speed says 31mph, so figure I am not doing a ton of long highway trips. I don't drive like a maniac but I get on it with the usual onramp shots and impatiently passing Prius and Korean soccer moms in Porsche Cayenne's doing 50 in the fast lane..
On a recent trip to Vegas from LA and back, almost all highway, I got 36.

Interesting. The original ratings are below...from fueleconomy.gov.
Also, someone else was wondering too: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=832316 "You're mileage may vary" |

The onboard computer always reports 2-3 mpg better than manual calculation from what I've observed.
Also, I think those who drive longer per trip might have better mileage as I've noticed my car using less gas when the engine has warmed up. I'd imagine there is quite a delta between the short commuter who calculates mpg manually vs the long commuter reporting off the computer. |
