Instrument Cluster Lens Scratches
I took my car in for service and I believe when the tech or whom ever cleaned the car they used a dirty rag to wipe my instrument cluster lens. I already specifically told them not to wash my car. Long story short I contacted the service manager and he said to bring it in and they will see if it can be polished. You guys think that will work or would it be nothing short of a new gauge cluster ? Thanks!'

Screw them..make the dealership replace it. Yes, they can be polished out..but they eff'd up..and who knows if it'll be as good as new?
dumbasses. A member or two here that works at a BMW dealership has said don't get your car washed there..and posted pics of the towels they use to wash/dry/wipe it. They're disgusting.

next time I am going to put index cards all over the car saying not to wash car, on stick shift on steering wheel on glove box on seat on windshield wipers ill give out index cards to everyone in service likes its a business card lol
this is because once i had terrible scratches on my hood and BMW said it was already there when I know it was not and I will never trust any service again I dont trust that they change oil on my 328 i was very skeptical that they actually changed my oil i opened the cap and it didn't smell new and didn't show any drips or wipes the filter didn't look touched they came over said yes they changed the oil they know that without a dip stick they can cheat customers and can't prove it also they turned off my dash cam how can you trust these mechanics if thy do this stuff |

Well I'm not taking my car into dealers for oil changes ever again. It's very questionable how they treat my car and my SA said its $150 for oil change and an extra $100 for the engine oil filter! Lol

Anyway of course I denied the filter change lol. But they still changed it with the oil as its most likely mandatory with oil changes for the mechanics there

I feel your pain. I learned my lesson on a 10' Black Sapphire Metallic E92. I asked specifically for the dealer to not wash my car. One of the lot attendants took it upon themselves to run the car through the car wash (mechanical) and left the entire car scratched like an LP.
I refused delivery of the car and made them send it out to have a complete paint correction. It said right on my RO "customer requests no wash" so they had nothing to stand on. Cost them $500 for a paint correction. From that point on i print out a stack of Do Not was signs and leave them in the glovebox. Whenever I'm in for service I put one on the dash so they can't miss it.
