Bogus claim too I'm thinking, 500+ WHP without a DME Flash?

It's port injection. It's likely legit

also looked at the logs, their running 14afr through the entire rev range. i could see it being possible but not suitable for daily driving.

from what they said it's stock fueling, just race gas. no port injection or meth.

Race gas, running very lean. It's super early in the development, but great to see the progress. Once we can flash these cars it's going to be amazing. Either way once the port injection is in it's going to kick some ass.

The turbo makes power. This because it's manifold has 25% bigger runners than the stock one, also the turbine housing has a much bigger A/R. Terry has gotten the stock turbo up to 440ish with e30... just because it has those high numbers doesn't mean the car is gonna run right or safetly. I suspect with properly fueling it will do 520whp or more safely. And if they want a dyno glory run I'm sure it can be in the 600whp territory.

500whp and full boost at 4-4.5k would be really good.

more updates coming through:

Quote:
We made some changes in fuel. Last time we used pump gas mixed with Sunoco 260GT Plus, and today we made some dyno runs using un-mixed Sunoco 260 GT Plus, this made significant improvements in power and torque.

if you read the thread on n54tech you'll see all of the answers to your questions. it's an aftermarket turbo and manifold. they're running Sunoco 260GT Plus (104 octane) running 14.5+afr to redline. 20+psi on some of the runs.

Maybe they just changed it for n54tech, but for instance if you go to bimmeboost and try to post a url here it shows up like this:

no they blocked the bimmeboost link i posted (you just made a typo but showed me a way to get past their censorship). even when i typed BIMMER and then BOOST the wording gets replaced with "admin notified," hence my 2nd edit to just delete it altogether. i have no ball in the game so i could care less about the forums beef with eachother, i'm just glad all of the info is cross-posted on n54tech.

While great from an academic perspective they seem to be saying the car likely wouldn't even make it through a 1/4 mile to get real world numbers?

I'm hoping a flash to fix the fuel limit isn't 5 years away because I'd love to see what my car is capable of with the limits removed
