It's like the old spaghetti westerns where it's a Mexican standoff and no one actually shoots for like 10 minutes.

Not sure how they measured BHP on a chassis dyno. But remarkably, they came up with 365BHP exactly for the M2.

Yeah, did they remove the engine? Skeptical but whatever. M2 with the lowest bhp and highest lbs but most likely registers highest on the fun-factor scale.

Maybe on Friday they will Dyno the M2 properly, in a forward gear and not in reverse like in the above photo!

Why is it not whp but bhp? How did they measure it? If they used the typical 15% loss to the wheels formula, did they account for the fact that the Audi is AWD with DCT gearbox, the BMW Front engine rwd with a manual and the Cayman with a rear mounted engine, rear driven wheels? Because these cars have all different drivertrain losses when putting power to the wheels. The Audi should have the more loss of power from crank to wheels. Did the cars have full tank when they were put on the scale? So many questions.

Looks like a roller dyno to me...

And have you driven the new 718 Caymans? Sorry M2 fanboys but there are better cars in the segment.

Four seat, rwd coupe? Which ones?

Last I heard TTRS and 718 only seat two...

Even if we ignore the fact that the M2 has four seats, the Cayman S starts over $10k more than the M2, and the Cayman S is not a car that you buy without options... And we all know how Porsche feel about their options.

An M2 buyer would really have to stretch their budget to afford a Cayman S.

Both these cars are in a different league than the M2. Provided one can afford the Porsche and doesnt need the extra space of the BMW that would be the choice.

There's not a lot of good comparisons for the M2 they are either down market by a bit or up market a bit. For a 50k car with a usable back seat the M2 does very well.

Here are the results in a format that won't make you wonder if you're getting old, or if the video is just moving way to fast.

The Audi has a rear seat, in about the same sense as a 911 has a back seat.

I think we know that regardless of the results the ultimate car doesn't exist ... which would be the Cayman Body with the M2 engine and the TT headlights
