Traded in the F31 for...

An other F31 . Went from a 328d to a 330i. I wasn't set on an other BMW, but my local dealer had this one in the show room for 3 months so they made me a great deal. Has every option except adaptive LEDs and ACC, m brakes (stand alone options in Canuckistan). The sticker price is why they had a hard time selling it...

The big surprises are heads up display (really well done) and the new 5.0 Idrive. I almost though the screen was bigger, the new system make a much better use the the screen real-estate. Apple car play is nice as well.

I'm really surprised about the engine as well. You would almost be fooled thinking its a 6 under the hood. Response is fantastic, nice sounds (fake or not), loves to rev. Its really surprising how much better this is then the 328i engine.

rides much better then my 328d on 18 inch wheels (this one has 19 inch), I think a good part of that is the adaptive suspension working its magic.

Already put the black grills on it. Not sure I'm going to put the front lip on again, kind of turns it into a plow in the winter

I think this fight has been lost already. Maybe BMW Canada could differ as there is much more wagon sold in here proportionally.

Looking good! I think the mineral gray looks better than black; esp. as it ages.

Question - this is an honest question by the way, no insult or harm intended; I've just alway wondered. Obviously there is a market for it.

Why would you/why did you chose the F31 over F25?

To all - please feel free to chime in.

As much as I love my 340i and the B58 engine, I would have purchased a F31 B48 if it were available at the time (14 months ago). Nice wagon OP

I too love the wagons, but I had to have a six this go round. If BMW were to bring a B58 equipped F31 to the States I'd be all over it in a heartbeat. CONGRATS OP!

Don't want to Thread jack but here's a couple of cool video's of a guy tossing his 340 Touring around The Ring, I bet some of you will enjoy it.

Fair question. The X3 is very long in the tooth and honestly the packages are crap in Canada. You can't get the adaptive suspension for example. My wife has an SUV so one is enough. If they don't make the wagon in the next gen I will probably get an SQ5 or something like that (X3 M40i...). In a perfect world I would be driving a B58 F31, but this come pretty close. The GC might make it on the list as well when the kids are out of car seats (or just boosters). The adaptive suspension really transforms the car.

Hey F31MTL! Congrats on the new touring. I remember 4 years ago when we both picked up our 2014 wagons when they first arrived in Canada. We exchanged a few PMs at the time.

I had the 335 MPerformance for a while and opted to go back to the touring. What a difference between the 2014 and the 2017 F31s. The handling is so much better, the steering is tighter I think and the power from the new engine is sweet even though the sound may not be 100% real as you said.

Congrats once again and enjoy the new ride!

I was impressed with the B48 as well. It pulls very nicely and loves to rev, and it's smooth.

So this will be me this Sunday. Headed to the 'ring to play with my new F31. Finally past the break-in period and putting her on a boat in a little over a month to meet me in the States. Really enjoyed my tour here in Germany and can't think of a better way to end my tour than a lap on the Green Hell.

Just realized this is a thread jack! Sorry - great new F31
