CF Trunk Spoiler Install
Ordered IkonMotorsport CF spoiler. I'm in the chicagoland area temp will be in the low 50s for a couple days. I will put it on with 3m tape.
Any issues? Or should I wait for 70s. |

Prep well the surface, remove wax with alcool or any other. Diy would help you.
Consider not to use the crappy "fake 3m" tape that they give with it

I've actually installed 3 different CF trunk lips on my F30 so far.
1st one I installed in the winter time when it was 30 degrees out. I heated up the car a little bit with a hair dryer, but it held ridiculously strong. No worries. 2nd one I installed when it was 45 degrees, no warming up and held super strong as well. 3rd one I installed when it was 60 degrees, no warming up and is holding super strong. Heating up is obviously the best way to go, but there's not much to worry about. |

Yeah I've heated the paint and the tape before install. And storing it in a heated garage and after a couple days it still comes back up. I'm gonna try the adhesive promoter. It drives me nuts about to throw a screw in there lol! |
