the old one was about 100 grand, new one hasn't had a price announced yet (I don't think so anyways) but I'd expect a similar pricetag

I'm disappointed.

PASM standard? You gotta be kidding me. Last I checked, PASM CANNOT be turned off completely. And optional Nav? What's the use of it a GT3? Live traffic report on the race track? Great, now even the GT3 isn't a pure driving device.

Also disappointing:
No 3.8L dry sump M64 as rumored
No widebody as seen on the black test mule.

Still tempting though...

the screen is standard on all 911's
lots of cars have stupid options, like active cruise on our E90's
that's why they're options, you can avoid them if you want

KenB and ward, thanks for pointing out about PSM. I freaked out... This is the car that I'd really like to own in the near future.

As for stupid options, it's sad to see Porsche ruining their cars like this (Tiptronic in a Turbo, sunroof standard on 997s...). I was just ranting over it. I know it's been going on for a while and has made them the most profitable car maker, I just hope they'd leave the wonderful GT3 alone.

The widebody GT3 will be the GT3 RS, which is going to be near $125k.
A lot of people are complaining that the GT3 has a sunroof and no delete option, but that's personal opion.

Maybe Nav is to find directions to the racetrack and how to get back home? Cause you obviously aren't going to trailer the Porsche since they are made to be driven there, tracked, and driven back.

I love suede steering wheels like we just saw in the pics of the GT3. There was a used competition package M3 w/ 12k miles on it., and my CA let me get in, turn on the key and take it just around the block. I never wanted to let it go....anyhow, suede...it's an awsome touch. By the way, they wanted $59,999 for it.

shimshimhada, you have it where, on your steering wheel too? or other places like shifter boot, e-brake, headliner, etc.

Yeah, I have the 330i ZHP. Steering wheel, shifter boot, and e-brake boot. Anthracite headliner, not Alcantara. I opted to have leather seats, but in retrospect, I should have saved 2K and kept the cloth/alcantara seats. Picture:
