Steering rack

Hey everyone. I'm new to this site so I'm not sure where to post this, but my 2006 325i will soon need a rack replacement and was wondering where the best place would be to buy one at a reasonable price. $1600 to $3k seems a bit steep to me so I thought I'd ask you guys. My car just has the standard steering.
