Not to say this is legit but I pulled from a red light today up to about 120km with him and I was half a car ahead and nobody was gaining.

He had all the badges but I kind of think he wasn't actually a turbo. It's was an older panamera.

What do you think?

So you completely disabled traction control and have an xdrive?

It's an xdrive. And you better ask the same questions of him as well.

The Panamera driver probably had the same attitude. He didn't need to blow your doors off. Knowing that he could if he wanted to was sufficient.

Thanx mom.

Have you even looked at what a stock 2010-2013 pana turbo dynos to the wheels? Roughly 380 hp and 365 torque. I see repeatedly that 340i without mppsk are putting down 330/330. We don't have much data for the 340i mppsk on different dynos.

Have you done much reading?

I ain't proving anything. Just letting people know what I experienced today. Cuz I was a little surprised myself. Thought I was gonna get smoked

Agreed. The last time I had the urge to do this kind of thing was in my late 20s. In hindsight, it was pretty foolish. I eventually took up auto-x, which was a better (and safer) outlet for those urges.

+1. If you're at a stoplight and have the urge to hit 120Km/75MPH that stoplight should look like this:

There's a time and a place for everything. A road with stoplights isn't the place for this. It's juvenile stupidity.

Garage List
If the driver could fog a mirror the Porsche Turbo should have been in front without much effort.

Non-turbo it would be a reaction time race. = time or better goes to the Porsche.

Sounds like the consensus is in. The guy lives in my area so I'll see if he wants to go for another pull. Maybe somewhere safer..... like an empty highway

You're going to get flamed for that too. An empty highway is still not a drag strip.

What's the hell is up with these Bmw forums. The Audi forums would so much more welcoming. Have been on them for years.

Seems like everyone on these ones is out to flame or hate on everything.

The attitude on here needs to change

I think its just a sign of the times. At some point people went from having the right to an opinion to having the obligation to tell everyone their opinion. For some reason BMW forums seem to draw a different group of enthusiasts. Forums of many other marques have 'Kill Story' sections. I wouldn't expect to see that happen here.

For the record I still occasionally engage in impromptu acceleration contests. I'll be 70 on my next birthday and have long since stopped caring what others may think.
