rear bumber "protector"

so this is pretty specefic question. Does anyone know of something that i could put on my bumper WHERE IT CONNECTS TO THE TRUNK so that when i load big heavy things into my trunk it doesnt hit my bumper and put little knicks in it...

i was just washing my car and noticed two "knicks" on my bumpr, not where another car would bump it, but likely from me loading and unloading this massive guitar amp that is heavy nad awkward...

i normally put a towel down so that the cabinet never hits the painted portions, but evidently, it must have... or it could be from something else, but i think its this.

Anyone ever put like the equivalent of a clear bra thing on the rear bumper?

Pretty much any place that does clear bras would be happy to do that for you too. It's pretty common, I think.

Got this, works very well - it can retain sand etc so needs a wash every now and then, of course:

I went to their website - the Zeta site, they make it - here I found the one pictured PLUS a "BMW Factory Style" one that is ~$35 more. I asked Zeta and the response was the factory has a different manufacture process tha gives it a slightly better finish.

Didn't even know BMW makes a similar product, and I couldn't find a BMW made one.

I have a piece of clear bra on that part of the rear bumper. Loading and unloading the luggage with caution and that piece of film would keep the paint fresh.

BMW sells this film piece pre-cut, as do many aftermarket vendors. Not a bad idea, and a bit less obvious than the black rubber piece on a lighter colored car.

I ordered the Zeta bumper protector off Amazon, its black and I have a white car, but I'm hoping this piece will do "double-duty":

(1) protect the bumper top from abrasions (duh) and

(2) solve the rear backup camera contrast issue at night when the camera light sensor gets overloaded by the white bumper.
