New 340 with uneven paint job?!?!

Just detailed clean my car for the first time and noticed the car was painted all the way near back license plate where you go to open trunk! Definitely taking this back to the dealer, but what is this?!?

May have been damaged along the way. Happens and dealers are not necessarily obligated to tell you.

I speak from experience. Unfortunately.

Correct, cars do get damaged during shipment overseas and they don't need to tell you if the cost to repair is less than $1000 if I remember correctly.

I also speak from experience...

This doesn't look for feel like damage though. I can actually feel the paint and see the primer under. Think it was just an uneven spray from factory.

Sorry to see that.

Under careful examination my paint was flawless except for one error in the back corner (where an old-school car antenna would be located) where a spec of dust was underneath the paint....And then on the roof there are some scratches An inch in diameter.

According to the guy that was inspecting my 335 for a lease back, it's extremely common for "issues" to occur during shipping/delivery that results in a panel being re-sprayed. Could just be a bad re-spray.

I have rough spots on random panels on my car. Paint thickness checks out on all areas. Just over spray or crappy job polishing the paint from factory. Can't visually see any of it. But it all comes off with one pass of polish.
