ex (e82)135i owners, some questions
for the members on here that once drove the fantastic E82 135i:
Im still driving an 09 N54 135i for now. Im very seriously looking at making the jump to the M235i/M240i. For other on here that have done so: - what will I expect? what has changed apart from the obvious - Fuel Economy? - Steering? - Has the cabin been improved or just modernised? - Back seat/Boot changes? - Handling, Braking changes? - Reliability? I kept my 135 for just on 5 years. Normally flip every 2 to 3 years - but loved the 1er. Had a stage 1 tune which added to the fun.
I found the 2er a more refined version of the 1er. Not as chuckable, but not as skittish. Cabin feels a lot bigger on the inside, especially where in counts like the rear seat. I personally didn't notice much difference in the brakes, but others have reported otherwise, as in not as good. Same engine for me N55 so same fuel economy I believe. Did prefer the DCT to auto, but still not bad. Haven't felt the need to tune yet Overall a nice upgrade |
