Greetings all. New member here so be kind. First time Bimmer owner with a question that's probably stupid, but...just purchased my 2012 320i and noticed when I shut imy car off that the dash shows 'M performance' on the cluster gauge.

I'm curious to know what that actually entails. I did a VIN search and it doesn't state anything for mods to the car. Google searches yield nothing either and I've tried searching the forums.

Any insight/info would be super helpful, thank in advance.

Likely the previous owner just programmed the instrument cluster to display "M Performance". There's a boatload of information on how to do this.

Thanks guys. So it's literally just on my instrument cluster, nothing less? Lol. Seems an odd thing to do,lol. Like me putting an M3 logo on my trunk lid, why do that right? Lol thanks again for answering my question.
