430i F32 Arrived!

Its finally here! The car is amazing. The AC Shnitzer module performs like a charm, even if I can use only max 4.5K RPM ...

The LCI suspension is great. It stiffens up in corners, as if its dialing out body role completely. It dos not compromise (straight line) ride comfort at all. Since I have the ACS springs installed, im not sure how the original LCI suspension handles. But this is really really steady in fast corners.

The progressive steering in sport mode surprised me at first. It felt really heavy at first but as you get used to it, its more a rock solid feel. As if you have the car by the troat and point it anywhere you want it. It goes.

But what surprised me the most is the power of the ACS equipped engine. It feels very very strong, just as strong as my old 135i. Looking forward to the post-break-in period :-)

Cheers

Very nice! What is KCM? I have a 2017 430i, but I'm assuming this is a different variant?

beautiful colour.

be sure to to limit RPM's to 4000RPM for the break in period. (roughly 3000 miles)

I highly recommend you get some window tints and debadge the 430i badge off the back. it really completes the look of the whole car.

Window tints are illegal in the Netherlands. As for the break in....roughly between 4K and 4.5K RPM for the first 2500KM (about 2000 miles). So far only 260Km...so it will be a long time :-)

Regarding to tint, by law you need >70% light transmission, they starting giving you tickets below 50%. Basicly the only tints legal are the 70's, which still leaves a difference between option 420 and the tinted front glass. I did carbon 70, but probably wouldn't bother next time.

Nice ride height with ACS springs! How much lower is it compared to the stock M sport suspension? Is there any floatiness or disconnection on larger bumps? In other words, do the springs match the dampers well? On my 2013 F30 the eibach pro-kit springs were a bit mismatched with sport dampers, which was a bit annoying on larger highway bumps, so I'm not sure about getting ACS springs on my F36. (optically it would benefit :P)

don't make the same mistake I did.. I redlined my dads car many times in one night at 3000KM thinking the break-in period was over and car does burn some oil now. make sure you wait closer to 5000KM to be safe..

Its about 3cm's lower in front, 2.5 in the rear. The springs match the suspension, its tunes by ACS. Their only business is BMW and mini. So they test all there products on the intended platforms. These springs are specific for the 4 series LCI.

Ordered some more BMW M performance goodies: Alacantara steering wheel (without the x-mas lighting:-)), Alacantara / carbon dash panels, mid console and door grips, alacantara armrest and parking brake lever and the shifter console, also in alacantara/carbon. So, that will be an complete alacantara / carbon interior.

Should be arriving this week, will all be mounted next week. Now I'm finished, this is the car i always knew would come someday.....oh well, maybe an M4 in the future :-)
