328i 6MT to a new M2?

Hello, everyone. I currently have a 2016 328i M Sport that is pretty much fully loaded with the addition of the 6 speed manual transmission. I've done some tasteful modifications to it to increase the fun aspect - BPC flash tune, Wagner Evo2 Comp FMIC, ER chargepipe, M Performance exhaust. I'm staring to think about the M2 as a suitable replacement when my lease is up in about a year. I haven't had the opportunity to drive one yet but most reviews heap praise on the car save for the fact that they say it's quite stiff or not a suitable daily driver. My question is how many of you had a F30 3-series prior to the M2 and how do you feel about your M2 as your sole vehicle/daily driver. Thanks!

I went from an f30 335i 6MT with m performance power kit to the M2. I've only had the M2 for a couple of weeks, but it is a totally different feeling car. I've done my work commute in it a couple of times and it would be a great daily driver. For now, I've kept my 335i for most commuting as I put 18-20k miles per year on my cars. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if I sell my 335i sometime this summer because I would rather be in my M2 all the time. The handling is just so much better and I don't find the ride too harsh at all for daily driving. I think you'll find the clutch to be lighter in the M2. And I love the auto-blip on down shifts. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you made the switch. I even put my kids forward facing car seat in the back and there is plenty of room.

I'm picking up my M2 next week, also transitioning from a f30 msport 328 6MT. I'll give you an update on how it feels once I've driven the m2 a bit and can compare the two cars. I'll have my m2 as a daily, but my work commute is only 5 miles, mostly on highway, so a stiff ride never bothers me.

I will be driving 200 miles home when I pick it up though, so I'll have a good idea of how it feels on a long ride versus an F30

In my opinion, it depends a lot on you area road conditions (concerning pots and holes and all kind of irregularities that can exist in the pavement).
I drove a 2016 3 series before receiving the M2 and man... while the former feels like a flying carpet (no M suspension, just the standard one) the later is a bit for the harsh side.
Having said that, when I'm driving on well mantained B roads the M2 is totally ok in terms of comfort; on the other hand when I drive on "stone roads" (like the ones romans built and we have still a lot in Lisbon) the thing is quite harsh.

Picked up my M2 yesterday and drove it 200 miles home, on a mix of highway and backroads. My old msport 328i felt like sitting on a pillow compared to the M2, but that doesn't mean the M2 is overly harsh in any way. I felt extremely comfortable on the entire ride home and had no issues at all. You can definitely feel the road in this car, but you never feel like your bouncing around. If the roads where you live are well maintained, then this car will be a great daily driver.

Lets just say I avoid manhole covers and railroad tracks like Plague. I think I have lost a cavity filling or two already.
