m2 vs m5 and others

great information.
So I had an f10 m5 competition package (2014 manual), but i didnt like it because i felt like i always had to slow down, and you had to generate extreme speeds to enjoy curvey roads.

I truly enjoyed my old 2002 330ci manual more...so i dumped the m5 and got a m235i (manual) and found it sterile and boring. I test drove an m4 (manual) and the thing was so--i felt like the whole thing shuddered whenever one encountered the slightest road imperfection, it made it not even fun, which was a big disappointment. it was so harsh...was just wondering how harsh the m2 is compared to the m4, and, whether you enjoy it on longer drives...

I live near the blue ridge parkway and so love driving that, but am not a track person. straightline acceleration like the m5 possessed is not of much interest...but the m235i was just sterile...thanks in advance to anyone of you who responds...oh btw, you might ask why don't i just drive an m2 and the answer is per an internet search there is not one for sale within 500 miles from me.
