Parking Garage in Manhattan?
Hi,
I am spending the night in Manhattan tomorrow night and will have my M3 with me. I am staying midtown off of 7th avenue in the 50s. Any recommendation for a parking garage that lets me self park (preferable) or at a minimum has attendants that can handle 6MT and not ding the car? My last manhattan NYC parking experience with my 135i resulted in a scratched headlight that I did not notice until after I was halfway back to boston (my fault). Thanks! |

There are not a lot of great self park places near there. I use the garage at the Palace sometimes and they are okay. I did have a guy there unknowingly leave my car on all day though (just the electronics).
The garage right near MSG is self park but that is 33rd and 7th. If coming from Boston, consider parking at white plains and taking the train for 100% piece of mind. You'll save some $ too as midtown parking is a fortune before they ding, scratch, and more your car. |

as an update in case it helps anyone else, I parked at self parking at 42nd between 9th and 10. (M P G Manhattan Plaza, 401-471 W 42 St). I found a spot with a 911 on one side and a concrete post on the other, so pretty safe. Next day 911 was still there and no door dings.
Extremely convenient for any mid-town west address. Thanks again! |
