F type seems really slow to 60. Good review, he had nothing bad to say about the M2 but 718 is winner in my book

I'm a Porsche guy myself, since I own one (albeit a classic with no acronyms at all other than a mechanical LSD), but a turbocharged 4, at least on paper, does not appeal. And I want a usable back seat. But I'd like to try this S on the track for sure.

About the M2: "I'll be honest: I love this car." That pretty much says it right there.
F Type is a beautiful car, but severely overpriced in my book. M3/M4, C63S, Cayman GTS/GT4, Corvette Grand Sport/Z06, Audi RS 4/5, GT350, etc, etc.. Almost every marque out there beats the Jag in performance at a similar or lower price. M4 gives you a CF roof. Jaguar charges you $3000. Shit like that really prices the F Type S closer to $100K with options. And the interior is not that much better than say, a Mercedes C63S interior. A well equipped C63S coupe is probably $15K less or so than a F Type S with similar equipment. Yet the C63S has a world class Mercedes interior and much better performance. Don't get me wrong, I actually love a lot about the F Type, but Jaguar is thinking too highly of themselves. Last edited by csbear; 07-29-2016 at 10:59 PM.. |
