Quick question about new car
Hey folks
Just wanted to know the answer to a quick question.. In a couple of days I'm thinking about walking into the dealership here in metro Sydney and putting down a deposit and then buying a car in stock .... Just wanted to know .. 1. When we do buy an M4.... Besides the car - are we due to get any other goodies as part of taking the car ?? Ie - M Driver passes to Phillip island.... "M" clothing etc , should you get special M key rings ... Can you please let me know of all your experience with what stuff a "good dealer" will issue with these cars ?? Do we get complimentary new car model launch drive days Other ?? Thanks |

I think the goodies bags depends on how hard you screw them on price.... I got a M driving day on my M135, and one of the funny mini cars on the X5 for my kids, but nothing more than that - but I pushed hard on price. To be honest, I'd rather save a few grand on the price than get a free car wash or something silly.
Even though it is nice to feel as a valued customer - however .. If the sales person though is really doing their job, and SELLING the car, then I'll give some leniency as I'm happy to pay for that knowledge and experience, but when someone is just taking an order & a "would you like fries with that" then I'm quite happy to squeeze margins. Problems is, that I am yet to find someone who will really SELL you the car - it's a dying art & lost on most I'm afraid. An opinion I feel that a lot of you out there would share |
