How to Replace the Power Cord on the PC-7424XP

This video covers how to replace the power cord on the PC-7424XP with a longer one. If you are one who has VERY LITTLE patience, you may want to allow someone who is more electronically inclined to do it for you. Also, if you are one who doesn't believe in taking pictures of stuff as you take it apart, YOU are going to be in for a LONG night.

I've done this repair 3 times in the last 5 years. The last time I used a 25' extention cord. She finally gave up the ghost so I'm going to buy a Griot's.

Wow, I've had the same PC's for the last 9 and 7 years. Never had a problem out of either one. Sounds like you may be starving your units of current. That will destroy them.

It was actually the way I was wrapping the cord during storage. it was bent a little to sharp right at the point where it goes into the polisher. This caused the wires to break inside and too close to the machine to extend them. Lesson learned and on to a new polisher. Still haven't bought one.

These polishers are bullet proof. I would recommend them over ANY other ORBITAL polisher, INCLUDING the Rupes.
