Check engine light came on 8 weeks ago but went out about 10 days later, so I did not take it in. Last Friday it came on again. Took to dealer I purchased from but they did not have time or a loaner to give me. So I went to secondary dealer who hooked me right up (another story as this is typical for them). Turns out the Fuel Pump is failing.

I've pretty much browsed these forums since early 2013 and do not recall anyone mentioning their Fuel Pump going out, so I am wondering have other experienced a pump failure or is this truly a one off?

To me it just seems like a strange thing to be failing with low mileage.

I'm at 55k on my AH3 and no issues ever had with the fuel pump, knock on wood.

my low pressure fuel pump failed on me around 12k miles (14' 335i).. actually left me stranded in an intersection which was quite awkward… Its since been replaced and has been running like normal. I wouldn't worry too much about it, although I'm sorry this happened!

Mine failed.

Then I replaced it with full it stage 2

mine just failed last week after 45k miles. got it replaced and the car came back from the dealer fixed, but with a scratch on the rear bumper

Do you have I drive and are you getting system warnings as that would be deal breaker.

I do have I drive and have never got a message. When I asked Steve about that he said it would only be on the cars running straight e85 when you are running it really hard

And I had the Dealer damage mine as well. Very Strange Coincidence.
