1200 mile break in service recommendation in NJ

Anyone here had great break in service experience in NJ, please share. I'm probably going to do it at Tenafly BMW, but was wondering about the quality of the service.

I'm driving 6MT, and I heard that they only change differential and engine oil nowadays. Anyone had their transmission oil changed at Tenafly BMW?

Thanks! Please also let me know how Tenafly handled yours after this Friday. I guess they also have M technicians. Hope it all goes fine!!

Did mine (DCT) at Open Road in Morristown. Routine and was in and out in under an hour.

I have been very happy with the service (and dealership overall) at Circle BMW for many years.

I don't think it makes any difference - just pick a dealer service department with which you want to build a relationship, and stick with them.
These days, BMW service techs are mostly parts and fluids swappers, with little room left for technical creativity and ingenuity.

I went to BMW of Morristown, and had the same uneventful and successful experience as <ChuMpion3>. Except that I didn't rush it, and kept the loaner i3 for the weekend (really don't enjoy regular 3-series loaners).

BMW's prepaid maintenance plan only covers engine and diff oil changes.
You can pay for your own tranny oil change (6MT or DCT), or DIY it.

So far so good it seems. Car felt a little slower at first as some others have said but I reset the M buttons and its feeling better after a few days. Have not tried launch control yet but I used the kick down feature on the highway multiple times yesterday and man the car flies

I leased my M4 from Tenafly and they did the break in service as well. No complaints.

Well after the break-in service, I found that they had not replaced the bolts on the differential (2 of them were supposed to be replaced. 33-11-7-525-064). So I rescheduled and asked them about the transmission fluid flush/change once again, but came back with an answer NO. They couldn't get an approval from BMW NA and if I were to do it, it would cost $250 + $140 (labor), which is ridiculously high.

So, I decided to stick with this for a bit and get the transmission oil changed at around 7k ish. God, BMW has become so strict about replacing transmission oils...
