How to secure trunk lid on F30 for excess stuff

So I need to get some 2x4's from the local builder's supply, and conveniently the rear seats fold down so I can put the wood through. However for some 10 ft long boards, they protrude out the back of the trunk. What do you use to hold the lid down so it doesn't bounce in the wind? I really don't see anything in the trunk lid that would allow me to use a bungee cord to secure it, and I certainly don't want to scratch to paint on the exterior. It's a given that I'll be wrapping the wood with a thick packing blanket to protect everything.

Too bad you don't own a F31-Touring ! The rear window opens separately from the hatch, which would allow long boards to be carried.

Having owned a F30 - 335i sedan, I do not recall anything that you could use to secure the trunk lid. Perhaps, you could try to unclip some of the trunk liner to gain access to the bare metal inner trunk lid ? There should be some voids in the inner lid, through which you could pass a bungee cord or rope.
