OBD2 Software for BMWs?
Hey guys,
Does anyone know an application that allows the laptop to read the car's data through the OBD2 port? (OBDWiz...) Will it work with the ENET cables we use for coding or do we have to use the OBD2 to USB cables (Not sure if they will work too)? Thanks

I know about Carly and others. I want it for parameter reading rather than coding.

You can use a cheap Bluetooth or Wifi (wifi for Apple) adaptor and torque on your phone.
BMWs do put out basic parameters over OBD2 as it is required but it's not very fast and is limited on parameters. 95% of the parameters are on a BMW protocol that can't be read using OBD2 tools. You would need a BMW tool. (Most of them are advanced and not required) |
