Intro - Finally quit lurking!

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself since I've finally decided to quit lurking and start posting/contributing. I've been an avid follower of F30Post since purchasing my CPO F30 back in the Spring of 2014.

So why am I finally not lurking anymore? Well, I wanted to wait until I had a need to post something (either a question or a solution). A couple weeks ago I hit both of those scenarios (initially a question, then I found the solution before being approved by the moderators to post that question) while installing an InvisiHitch on my wife's new F15.

Anyway, here's the specs for my ride:
Luxury Line
Sports leather steering wheel
Highlight trim finishers pearl gloss chrome

Cold Weather Package
Retractable headlight washers
Split fold-down-rear seat
Heated Steering Wheel
Heated rear seats
Heated front seats

Premium Package
Auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors
Moonroof
Comfort Access keyless entry
Lumbar support
Power front seats with driver seat memory
Universal garage-door opener

Technology Package
Head-up Display
Navigation system

Xenon headlights
It was a 20-month old Mineral White Metallic CPO 2012 F30 328i Luxury Line that had an original MSRP of $48,500 and I closed my deal at $28,500. Not too shabby for a gently used, pretty well optioned car with 2 years of original warranty remaining and an additional 2 years of extended warranty on top of that. If I was ordering new, I would have gotten an EB MSport 335i, but this girl was too good of a deal to pass on.

She had 38,000 miles on the odometer when I picked her up and I passed the free maintenance mark (50,000 miles) last September. Since then, I've done some of my own maintenance (front brake pads & wear sensor, changed the brake fluid, did an oil change, and cured the "stinky sock A/C problem) all thanks to this site as well as some videos from BavAuto.

Mods done since picking her up:
- WeatherTech floor liners
- Tinted the windows
- Changed yellowish fog lights to ones that closely match the xenons
- Changed amber front turn signal bulbs to silver bulbs
- Installed BimmerTech back-up camera
- Installed Illuminated door sills
- Replaced RFTs with Michelin Pilot Sport AS-3's (huge difference!) once the RFTs were low on tread.
- A year after replacing my RFT's I replaced my 20-Spoke Rims (Style 416) with brand new staggered 441M's that were on sale at GetBMWParts. I kept the front tires I had put on a year earlier and just bought new wider rears (they'll be matching tread depth soon enough...lol)
Future mods (if I decide to keep her long enough versus just replace with a new 340i MSport):
- CODING!!!
- M-Perf Brakes or similar aftermarket once these discs are worn past their recommended specs.
- Lower suspension
Here's a pic of our cars I took shortly after taking delivery of the F15 and right before I swapped out my rims/tires.

Looking forward to being a contributor on the forum Most mods/repairs I've done I've made sure to take pictures, so if anyone needs tips/help let me know!
