Quick review 435i with Dinan Stage 2, Akrapovic Evo exhaust

I'd like to start off my review with a big thank you to AutoTalent who provided me with my Akrapovic Evo exhaust system, and Dinantronics S2 at an absolute excellent price. He was wonderful to deal with on the phone, prompt responses, good pricing, and I got my equipment in good condition as promised.

First, the Akra. The packaging itself is probably 1/4 the cost of the equipment, very well packaged and bolstered. While taking a look at the equipment the quality of the welds and construction speaks volumes about the company and product. High quality welds, excellent appearance. Cannot speak to overall durability but so far sturdy. I opted for the link pipe, exhaust, and CF tips. (pics to follow this afternoon). Installation at the shop was very quick, took them approx. one hour. On start up the tone is slightly deeper than the MPE (which I originally had). Overall loudness is maybe 10-20% higher volume, but not outrageous. The major bonuses of this are the deeper tone at start up- also while under load you can now hear your exhaust pleasantly humming along with a deeper and more powerful tone. It to me is the difference in sound between a Carrera, and a GT3- same overall sound profile but a bit more badass now. NO drone, no harsh ricey timber. This is what the MPE should have been if BMW had been bold with their exhaust sound. I cant speak to value, but Im very satisfied. If anyone is looking to have a clean sound that's louder and deeper than MPE, without quite getting into the fast and furiousesq noise range, it is for you.

Dinantronics Stage 2: Yes I went the 'safe' route, but I was never looking to overboost the car to the max, run meth, delete my down pipe, or otherwise push it to the ultimate limit. I was looking for essentially more roll on power for enhanced fun in canyon carving, as well as overtaking. To this end the Stage 2 performs admirably. Before I used to feel as though the "pull" of the car plateaued @4500 RPM , now it pulls strong to redline with more to give. It feels as though max power before (I do have MPPK) was essentially 3/4 throttle of what the Dinantronics S2 offers. It has no jolt, no jitter, no rough idle, no codes and best of all...a warranty! Power remains very linear, the butt dyno notices the power boost for sure, the top end of second and third gear (Manual car) will absolutely impress.

Overall very happy with my purchases. In my mind its the enhanced GT mode of the car, good more power, far better sound....still not going to win drag races against the big boys, or impress a big block V8 revving at the stop light. But that's not the point.

Picture of tips up close, full layout on the floor, close up of the welds and workmanship, and a PRE picture of the MPE on the car for those who wanted to see it.

How much is the Dinantronics Stage 2, and what's the stated output increase?

It lists for 2300$, but you can find it online for less through retailers or AutoTalent like I did. And heres from their website
Maximum Power: 382 HP, 455 lb-ft of torque on a vehicle with M-Performance Software (MPPK) and an automatic transmission. 384 HP, 436 lb-ft of torque on a vehicle with M-Performance Software (MPPK) and a manual transmission.

How long does it take to install the Stage 2 Dinan upgrade on an MPPK - 2016 435I?
Also is this the maximum upgrade that I can do through the system without having to change my Turbo and adding an Intercooler?

Thanks.

Yes that would be it

If you want more power you can go a different route than Dinan (JB4 or Active Autowerke OBD Flash).

Congratulations on selecting Akrapovic exhaust. Of all the mods, this one is on top of my own list.
