No they should not. But I wish you could order the Car from the factory without an open differential without having to Pay a fortune for the m-performance one.
My family's old e36 325is had a $500 LSD option on it. Audi offers their sport differential for $1000 on the S4 so I would think BMW could do it.

if I wanted an M i'd buy an M. The 340 is a better everyday driver for a lot of reasons. When mine comes in I'm having the dealer take all the badging off before I drive it off the lot.

I love my car but it would be as close to perfect as possible if it had a LSD

Maybe M340iF30..and M340iF32...and M340ixf30...and so forth, because the more stuff on the badge the more HP.

NO. Not unless the engine and suspension is tuned by the M division and the disks are slotted. Then MAYBE.

No but if you buy a 340 and add your own M to it be sure to post some pics, I guarantee you will get some interesting comments.

Wow a lot of strong words over a badge. Let's face it the M branding is not what it used to be. It's going the way of Mercedes AMG and Audi's S line. Sad but true.
Mercedes knows that those 3 letters have cred and sells cars. BMW is following suit and really doesn't care what any of us think of M "dilution". The M branding sells cars and you are going to see it more and more on non-M cars.

I like the interior badging of my MSport. If the M division designed the package or parts for it why not have them badge it as such. But I don't agree with it being a M340, and I wouldnt want nor like my car being a M335. The interior subtle differences I like, because they're not branding it as an actual M car.
