Change 328i emblem to 330i?

Hi,

Just asking for your opinion. I got a 328i F30. And I have not yet decided if I will remove the trunk emblems completely or not.
Thing is that I have never liked the uneven numbers BMW use on the first models. I think we all can agree that there is not much difference between the power in an 328i and 330i.
I even got a JB4 to compensate for the 7hp difference

Reason I want 330i emblems is that I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing.
It's like leaving the volume on a stereo on 28 instead of 30

What do you think. Is this as bad as putting an //M-badge?

Thank you!

If you're asking for approval here, I think you know the answer, but you are certainly free to do whatever you like.

I don't understand why it would be a problem. 330i is a rebranded 328i pretty much, in terms of HP.
But I'm asking you because I hate to be that //M-badge-guy

Your car, your rules...personally I would rather de-badge the trunk lid than re-badge the car a alternate model. Can't fool your Vin Number....

Yeah I think debadge is the best option.

Even though theres not much difference, it just doesn't seem 'right'.

Why not just add an M1 emblem?

I vote no. Seems silly.

De-badge is OK...

De-badging is the way to go, if only to get rid of the cheesy-looking chrome numbers, which are especially out of place on an M-Sport car with all other trim done in gloss black.

Don't be a doushe nozzle dude. Your car is not a 330. Why stop there? Add a quad exhaust and badge it as an M340. WHY STOP THERE!!! Get a 330 tattoo on your forehead so everyone knows you wouldnt dare drive a 328!

These threads remind me of my niece knowing something is not ok and going from person to person asking until she gets someone (usually me half listening) to tell her to do what she wants. Then we are both in trouble.

Hmm. You make me maybe want to change my numbers to black now considering I have no chrome on my car.

Oh shit! There's always a topper isn't there?
I think in order to do that it states in the BMW Laws and Amendments: " all vehicles must have engine corresponding to numbers badged on car."
So, you will have to remove the turbo engine and replace with an inline 6 or suffer hefty punishment.

Why not just make it an RS63 A ///MG and cover all the bases?

No offense, but do you work?

How can one have so much time to think whether the 328 or 330 badge will look better.

Post is so ridiculous I had to ask this question..

I would have issue misrepresenting what I actually own. But it's your car and money, spend however you wish!

Pro tip: Don't do it.

I don't understand the uneven numbers part. 328 is an even number..as is 330. The only UNEVEN part is the fact the model is 3 digits..so my advice is to make a 3280 ..so you have a nice even number of numbers.
