340 LED headlight flap broke

There was a lot of sun, but hopefully you can still make it out in the pics. The flap for my passenger LED headlight somehow broke on my 5 month old 340. It wasn't involved in any incident so I assume that the screw or glue that held it on came loose. Time to make an appointment with the dealer

Wow thats the first time ive seen that and it sucks because even tho its so minor you cant DIY fix it. A new headlight is in order i assume?

That's a sad looking headlight. Never seen anything like that. Hopefully your dealer can get you a new headlight asap.

Yes I was surprised when I saw it too. The dealer doesn't know about it since I just saw it today. I scheduled an appointment with them this week with a description and pictures of the headlight. I'll call them tomorrow to see if they can get the headlight in before I go in for my appointment. I don't want to go in just so they can confirm that I need a new headlight, then have to go back when they get it in.

What I'm worried about is that they'll scratch something in the process of replacing the headlight. I think they have to remove the bumper to get to it, so hopefully they don't mess anything up in the process.

Just bumper removal and the wheel on that side too.

The dealer replaced the headlight. I posted the results in the following thread:

http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1263636

The bumper isn't aligning well with the hood and they will fix it but now the problem is I am far from the dealer who replaced the headlight (took care of it when i was on vacation but am back home now).

The other thing that I didnt like is that they had to update the software to v58.3 and now my ASD doesn't work (had it set to M4 before). The car also feels a lot slower though I'm being told it's because the car has to learn again. Only time will tell as I don't drive the car daily.

Everything else looked okay. I have pictures of the headlight from before and all was ok.
