I bought an aftermarket M Performance front splitter for my F30 from Germany.

I paid £160 for the part, it looks a good quality product compared to some aftermarket ones. The seller is a company called dm-autoteile. I tried to install it myself, and failed. So then I tried again with my dad and uncle and we couldn't get it to fit either. The pointy inside parts of the splitter don't reach the body, there are gaps on either side. And the outer parts of the splitter don't site right, there are gaps there too. Once the splitter is on, you take a step back to look at the car from the front and I realised the splitter is warped. The gap through the front is ok on one side but the left hand side there is no gap. Because the splitter is warped, goes up at one side if you know what I mean.

I am fussy and I do like to be a perfectionist, but this part just doesn't fit. I don't want to ruin my lovely car buy putting something on that looks terrible.

Anyway, I have contacted the seller and they keep insisting me the part fits 100%. I have told them over and over it does't fit, but still they insist that if I have got an M Sport model it will fit. He has asked me 3 times do I have an M Sport model, and now on the message they sent me today, they have asked for my VIN number As if I don't know that my car is an M Sport!!

I am still trying to go through the process of getting my money back.

Just advising everyone to stay clear from DM-AUTOTEILE, as you will have nothing but stress from these.

I also ordered the M Performance side skirt extensions off them too when I ordered the splitter. They said they take 4-6 weeks to deliver as they don't manufacture them themselves. They said they would have them at the beginning of April, but since this problem with the splitter they have now told me they won't be in stock until May. I think they are just messing me around now

Anyway, rant over. If anyone else has used this seller, please get in touch

Send the vendor pictures of the problems.

escalate the case to ebay, also when a product is defective seller has to pay for return shipping remember that ( i learned the hard way) if he doesn't want to pay you can escalate the case to ebay.

Whether it fits or not does not even matter
Ask to return the product and you will get your money back 100% from Ebay .. You might be responsible for the return shipping charges

they arranged pick up. dpd picked it up 2 days ago, just waiting for refund now. then im on the hunt for a genuine splitter if anyone can help
