I'm with you. I took a trip to MB-AMG-land. I had to admit after a year and a half that I had to come back to Bimmer-land

To me, body control is important. Not only on curvy back roads (where the F30 does well), but also in neighborhoods, city streets, and in a straight line over rough surfaces (where the F30 leaves me a bit unsatisfied. I think we make some sacrifices in actual ride quality and justify it with BMWs nice handling. But cars like the ATS, IS, etc. show that you can have both good ride AND handling. BMW is certainly capable, so why must the 3 series ride like it does? Especially at this price point? Note that I haven't tried the new LCI 2016 F30 yet. Everyone says this has improved... Enough, I hope. |
