I don't "need" one I was just asking a simple questions gentlemen, I heard a hks blow off in the e92 sounded pretty good was just inquiring if anyone installed this in there f series

F30 and F32 are the same platform btw. The N55 runs a DV not a BOV. A DV recirculates the excess boost as where a BOV, "blows it off" which isn't as efficient. If you are looking for the PSHHHH sound, just get an intake (BMS or Injen are pretty popular for the price).

Yep, like every one else is saying, it's the lack of a silencer that's doing that. I put a SPT short-ram intake on my subaru with OEM BOV and all of a sudden, it was PSSSSSSSSSSSST with any shift.

Like others have said, injen or bms are the way to go. You get a waaaaaay louder diverter valve pssshhhhhhhh sound and it sounds amazing! Especially in sport mode. Although performance gains are probably close to nil, the much louder turbo spool and diverter valve sounds make driving the car much more enjoyable.

As mentioned above keep DV and just get an intake for the sound ( Injen or BMS)
