They are very slow to update the online configurators (expect September); usually they want to clear out dealer inventory first. But the order guides should show up here in June.

+1 just because they don't show it as available does not mean you cannot get it.
They will try their best to sell you a car from the old inventory

They haven't even announced the 440 as coming to the USA so I would guess the config isn't going to update to the last possible minute. I would stay tuned to the boards looking for a the order guides in May/June

Traditionally, there's been owners with new model cars driving them on the road by the time the web site would update and offer those models for configuration and pricing.

True. I saw a 340i at the local dealership before they were on the BMWUSA website.

I was just at my local dealer last week with my x3 getting serviced and I asked about the 430/440 and they said not sure. I told them I want to order as soon as it is available to get out of this GT lease. Dealer told me I can pull ahead 6 months out which would be Aug so I hope they are available by then.

Have them actually run your VIN before you rely on the pull ahead actually being available. There is no pull-ahead universally available right now.
