340i ambient temperature gauge
Anyone notice that their ambient temperature gauge takes minutes for reading to display actual temp?
For example - arrive into work at 40F, leave in the afternoon where its 70+, by the time I get home (20mins) correct temp is finally displayed. |

Yes mine is definitely much slower to adjust to ambient temperature compared to my 2013 f30 and 2009 e90. I thought it was odd too.

I asked my SA about this today and they were not aware of an issue. :-/ Probably too new...
I'm definitely used to almost instantaneous change from my previous F-cars. |

I think you have to build boost for the temperature gauge to become accurate.

Same problem on my 2016 328xit. SA said nothing wrong with it - I don't agree. So maybe something specific to LCI or period of production?

its does take a few minutes on mine. i have a heated garage so, when its cold outside, it takes a bit of time before the reading is accurate, but usually 2-5 min is more than enough
