I'd love to but have no setup for it. Doesn't make sounds idling/rev-ing stationary...

but while I'm driving can definintely hear the whistle, just hard to drive and sound clip at same time lol

I'm not going to recommend that you take a clip while driving since you might get into an accident or get a ticket for using your phone, not worth it in my opinion


Just get a friend to record it while you drive

Here are some quick shitty videos. My dad was helping me and he messed up the first good vid. tbh, you can't tell much of a difference unless you're semi accelerating and in the 3k to 4K range (then you hear the whoosh of air sucking in). Sorry I didn't stay under 4500rpm on my less than 1200 miles car

You can really only hear it under 1/2 throttle while building boost. Wot you can't really tell the difference from stock.

Agreed. And when getting off boost when the car in front of you prevents you from going faster.

Yep exactly this. The videos posted do it any justice (no offense, appreciate the post, I just personally couldn't hear it the way mine sounds). If you're on the edge about getting it just get it, it sounds awesome, not loud, but loud enough to hear it, with the windows down at least. And also if someone has an answer about that padding on the bottom, I know you can take it off, but is it supposed to come out?

I really would like to know this, how does it sound compared to the 435 bms intake, the long one. I drove my boys s435 and it sounded so dope.... these short intakes are garbage if its anything like the one in my F10...

It's really hard to capture a good video lol. You either buy it or get in a car with someone who has it. For me personally it does not sound like stock.

I agree and vouch for just about every opinion stated above. It is hard to notice any difference in sound, besides at around 50% throttle between 2-4K Rpms. However, you can definitely hear a solid amount of suction and turbo spool during this time. Like someone said above, if you're on the fence deciding whether or not to get it, just get it. It's relatively inexpensive and takes 15 min to install.

Also, that foam pad at the bottom of the air box pops out easily. I took it out, as I believe it may increase airflow, but it may just be in my head. I'm sure it doesn't make much of a difference.

I am highly anticipating any future development with products replacing boost piping, charge pipes, etc. I very much would like to get rid of all the cheap plastic piping between intake filter and turbo, and then turbo to throttle body. Seems like a relatively cheap and easy development, I'm surprised the B58 is still so limited with aftermarket parts being over a year after its release.
