05:28: AutoBild journalist quotes an interwebs comment, stating that the M2 is "total sh*t".

Passenger Frank Isenberg (key engineer behind the 1M and equally the M2 project leader) listens without even raising his eyebrow and then calmly explains.

The AutoBild journalist quoted some other bad comments. To no avail.

Haha, Isenberg handled it like a Boss.

Do you think that's why he slammed the iPod to the floor for him

Very stoic of him!

You forgot to mention what he "calmly explains"...

I prefer by far Andreas Preuninger, definitely other charisma and at least he speaks like an engineer (probably one of the last at Porsche also, I agree, but still) and not like an accountant. All I see here is someone who was "forced" to make a compromise car and asked and trained to "defend" it as it is. I would've preferred the "old", 1M, Isenberg, I'm sure you see what I mean...
The evidence (mediocrity of an 1 series interior, not completely worthy of a top end Golf) shouldn't be covered by standard (= imposed) leather with M badges, large screens, cheap carbon ornaments, but with simplicity and driver involvement (better, no leather seats, temperature and oil gauge, smaller weight, etc)... But that's the record profit BMW of year 2016 and he is representing it, even if he seems a little bit tired, like some of us are also...

"Like a Boss"... Marketing Boss

Tribute should be paid to Frank Isenberg for the 1M and M2.

Of course, AP is indeed ace.

But then again, the only hard questions he may get about for example the Cayman GT4:
  • still no wishbone suspension on the GT4 rear (financially and structurally too complicated for a Cayman) ?
  • why the Cayman GTS (too) looong gear ratios for the GT4 ?
(see for example here and here).
Chris Harris pulling AP's leg:

Brief GT4 master class from 07:25 onwards:

The answer is of course 911 hierarchy and the GT3/GT3 RS, but he still managed to create "his" 911R and also secure the future GT4.

Compare this to FI's "performance" and the compromises in the M2 he is forced to defend now...

Can someone please translate a few key messages from this interview (that we haven't heard before)?
